Hi, welcome to My Four Paw’s Life. Today we’re talking about dog allergies. Dog allergies can be very painful and uncomfortable for your pet. My dogs have had allergies for most of their lives. It’s caused skin infections, ear infections, eye infections, hotspots, you name it.
The thing is, they also smell really bad. I have to bathe them two, three times a week just to keep their skin clean & odor-free and so they’re more comfortable. I’ve tried different shampoos, topical sprays, new foods, and taking them to the vet for severe cases.
Allergy shots, antibiotics, and sometimes steroids really affect the gut of the dog — and so long term it doesn’t help the problem at at all. It might even make it worse.
